This is a compilation of film photographs created during trips to Cuba between 2022 - 2025.

These images are an ode to how our humanity is connected across imagined and man made borders, exploring people’s relationship to space, objects, and each other. Susan Sontag says - “to collect photographs is to collect the world.” Notions of “tourism” imply that we come and go, but not everybody has the privilege to be a tourist. As Cuba’s social and economic conditions continue to become more dire, with increasing shortages of food, electricity, and gasoline, this work approaches photography as an act of bearing witness rather than extraction.
