Hang Me Out To Dry

Hang Me Out To Dry is a compilation of film photographs and photo book created during artistic exchanges to Cuba between 2022 and present.

This book is an ode to how our humanity is connected across borders, exploring people’s relationship to space, objects, and each other. This is also a metaphor about the abandonment and betrayal that the Cuban people have faced in the context of global capitalism and imperialism.

Susan Sontag says - “to collect photographs is to collect the world.” Notions of “tourism” imply that we come and go, but not everybody has the privilege to be a tourist. This book is about collective pictures as an act of bearing witness. We need dignity and humanity more than most things.
